The Travelling Fellowship Programme
Building bridges between the Middle East and the West through sharing experience and insight

The Awareness Foundation launched its Travelling Fellowship Programme in 2007 to enable Middle Eastern Christian leaders to visit the UK and US to speak about their experiences and share their insight. This provides Middle Eastern Christians with a valuable opportunity to be heard in the West, and gives those in the West a rare chance to learn about Christian life in the Middle East. Our aim is to defeat ignorance and misconceptions and to change attitudes.

Travelling Fellows, so far from Lebanon and Jordan, have given talks and lectures in London, St. Albans (St. Albans Cathedral), Birmingham, Rugby, Cambridge and Swansea in the UK, and New York, New Orleans and Washington DC in the US.

The Travelling Fellowship is awarded annually by the Awareness Foundation. The Fellow receives the golden Fellowship Cross of the Foundation. The Awareness Foundation has suspended the Programme due to the chaotic situation in the Middle East caused by the Arab Spring; we hope to reinstate this important bridge-building programme very soon.
