In the last year, our work in the Middle East has reached a new level and we are achieving more than we had once imagined possible.
Huda Nassar, our Director for the Middle East, has been working hard for months on our first Arabic language website which can accommodate journalistic, photographic and other contributions from our friends in the Middle East. The new website has been designed to offer the voiceless a voice and to foster supportive friendships between the Christian communities of the region.
This is especially important when travel is now almost impossible in Syria and Iraq. The website will keep Middle Eastern Christians fully appraised of our work there, and we shall ensure that messages of prayers and support from their friends in the West are included.

Friends and supporters of the Awareness Foundation gathered together on the evening of Friday 3rd July 2015 at the Awareness Foundation's centre to celebrate the launch of our brand new Arabic website - www.waii.me. His Grace Bishop Angaelos set the tone for the evening with a very moving and inspirational prayer. In addition to many of our friends from London and the Home Counties, we were delighted to welcome David and Angel Tse and two of their daughters, all the way from Hong Kong. We were joined over the internet by The Revd Habib Badr in Beirut, Lebanon, and by the young men and women of Eid b'Eid, an ecumenical youth group in Lattakia, Syria; thanks to Skype, a lively discussion took place between the people in our London office and our friends in the Levant.
Special congratulations are due to Huda and her team of helpers in the Middle East for producing such an excellent website!
